It is in the magnificent Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, in the heart of a small Provençal village called Saint-Michel l'Observatoire, that these essential oil diffuser paintings come to life. They are the result of meticulous craftsmanship carried out by three family workshops, located in the village and the neighboring village of Reillanne. The story of this work has been shared through love, friendship, and expertise, with each workshop contributing its unique touch, allowing us to offer you a variety of designs and models.
These paintings are made of terracotta and undergo two firings at a thousand degrees. Each piece is then hand-painted with enamel, and some are delicately gilded with fine gold, resulting in creations in a variety of styles ranging from Provençal to modern, including naive art and symbolic motifs.
We are independent artisans, and we all work together, independently yet collaboratively. The many secrets and know-how involved prevent us from opening our workshops to the public; however, we have created a video from one of our workshops, which you can find linked below.
Instructions for use
These terracotta essential oil diffuser panels are ideal for diffusing the fragrant and beneficial scents of essential oils. They can be placed on a piece of furniture using a handcrafted terracotta stand. Additionally, magnets can be attached to the back of the diffuser, allowing it to be hung on a metal surface or mounted on the wall using a specially designed metal adhesive.
For diffusion, it is recommended to pour the essential oils and fragrance onto the porous part of the diffuser board, i.e., the back, to avoid staining the front. Two to fifteen drops of essential oil is sufficient, as it can permeate the board. You can then adjust the amount of essential oil according to the desired diffusion time. Adding more essential oil will lengthen the diffusion time. If the ambient temperature is high, the diffusion will be more intense, but shorter-lived.

Use essential oils and perfumes
We recommend using essential oils for a natural and enveloping diffusion.
It is recommended to occasionally dry the terracotta diffuser near a heat source: in the sun, near a radiator, fireplace, etc. The diffuser will then return to its neutral state.
Perfumes
To diffuse the fragrance, you can pour or spray it onto the back of the diffuser. However, it's important to note that the fragrance, like some essential oils, can stain. Therefore, each diffuser can be cleaned with soap and water.

Notes
Note: For wall mounting, a metallic adhesive strip is used to hang the pictures on any flat surface. They can be placed on surfaces such as walls, furniture, tiles, wood, smooth painted surfaces, mirrors, glass, and many other decorative possibilities. Magnets are attached to the back of the diffusers, allowing them to be fixed to this metallic adhesive strip. The force of the magnets on the strip will help to hang the pictures.
We advise against using metallic adhesive strips on doors, wallpapered walls, plastered surfaces, or any sandy or uneven surfaces to avoid breakage. Removing the adhesive will not damage your walls. For best adhesion, carefully position the strip and press firmly.
Note: Some essential oils and fragrances work better than others. For fragrances, the diffusion will depend on the one you use. That's why we recommend using essential oils for a balanced and beneficial diffusion.
